Fort Lauderdale, FL — On Saturday, February 28, 2015 the Humane Society of Broward County will celebrate its 25th Anniversary Walk for the Animals. With over 1,600 people already pre-registered for the event, the morning is sure to be fabulous as walkers and their furry friends unite in Downtown Fort Lauderdale at Huizenga Plaza.
The Walk for the Animals, presented by VCA Animal Hospitals and platinum sponsor Active4pets is the Humane Society of Broward County’s largest annual fundraiser. Funds raised from this event help the shelter continue its mission of helping animals and educating the community. Your participation will help make a difference for thousands of animals in need, and help them find forever homes.
Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. and the 1.2 mile walk begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. Event chairs Carey Morgan and Leslie Vincent want everyone to know that if you want to participate there is still plenty of time to register on-line at www.walk4theanimals.com – you can even create your own personal fundraising page and ask friends to donate. The sooner you register the sooner you can start collecting donations. Raise a minimum of $150 and get the official walk t-shirt and dog bandana. Raise $250 and you’ll receive the special anniversary key chain (while supplies last).
IHOP will be serving a pancake breakfast and there are more than two dozen vendor booths to visit. With fun for the whole family this is a great event for all ages
